Check the source before you download

Orion Stars installers are distributed outside the standard app stores. This page explains the risks and separates editorial guidance from the final download action.

Android safeguards

If you decide to sideload

  1. 1Keep Google Play Protect and your security software enabled.
  2. 2Download only after recording the exact host, date, file size, and version.
  3. 3Scan the file and compare a published SHA-256 hash if one becomes available.
  4. 4Review requested permissions; stop if they do not fit the app’s function.
  5. 5Allow installation only for the browser or file manager you used, then revoke it immediately.
  6. 6Use a unique password and do not save payment credentials in an unverified app.
